RTS Seminar (9 July, 2016)
The RTS Powerlifting Training Clinic is coming to Louisville! This event is designed to be a fun and informative training day for those who would like to learn more about RTS training and methodology. RTS beginners and veterans will both have plenty to learn at this specially-designed clinic.

Seminar Details:

Where: Trinity High School at the Marshall Center (across from the football field), 4011 Shelbyville road, Louisville, KY 40207

Schedule:
9:00am: Attendees begin to arrive, meet-and-greet
9:30am: Introductions
10:00am: RTS Toolkit (presentation)
11:00am: Guided Training Session
12:30pm: Lunch
1:45pm: Exercise Selection (presentation)
2:45pm: Open Q&A
4:00pm: Clinic ends

Training Session
Before beginning the training session, the RPE scale will be taught to those who are not familiar with it. The training task will be to perform a simple workout using RPE methodology. For those already familiar with RPE, a more advanced task will be given.
Presentation Details
The presentation will cover the theoretical underpinnings of RTS methodology as well as provide more context for the placement of these methods in larger training cycle strategy. It will serve to provide important use information for the tools learned earlier in the day.
Presenter Bios
Mike Tuchscherer is the owner and founder of Reactive Training Systems as well as a current world class competitive Powerlifter. Mike himself has earned 5 medals at IPF world championships (2 bronze, 2 silver, 1 gold) and in 2009 became the first male from USA Powerlifting to win a gold medal at the World Games. In addition, he has personally coached over a dozen IPF world-level competitors, and also many intermediate level lifters who simply want to continue building strength in the midst of a busy life. This range gives Mike unique insight on getting to the core of building strength. Additionally, Mike is the author of the Reactive Training Manual, which popularized RPE based training with its easy-to-use charts.
