Throughout your career in powerlifting, it is quite common to develop aches, pains and injuries that impact training decisions. In these situations, it is important to have additional support from a qualified professional who is well-versed in your specific needs as a powerlifter. Dr. Nathan Dailey is a qualified expert in the field of rehabilitation for strength athletes and serves as a resource for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of injury.

This product provides you with:

- An hour-long initial evaluation over video call for a specific injury/complaint
- Detailed interview, an objective exam, and diagnosis along with suggested treatment, progressions, regressions
- Ideal for those lifters wanting a second opinion or to get started on treatment
- Training lab members who purchase this product are welcome to conduct follow-ups during my weekly office hour calls (in the RTS Training Lab); these athletes agree to have the details of their case discussed publicly for the benefit of other members to provide additional value to the community

Here is what some of our athletes are saying about Dr. Nathan's services:

"I approached Dr. Dailey after three years of struggling to manage persistent hip pain that severely limited my training. Having previously seen several in-person physiotherapists, and a consultant surgeon, I was unsure of my ability to continue in powerlifting. Dr. Dailey listened carefully to my concerns; in just a short time we have been able to make real progress, and pain is having much less of an impact on my training."

-Stephen Gately

"I had anterior shoulder pain for a couple of weeks. During an office hour, he explained what he identifies as the cause and gave some exercises to do during daily life. After a week my shoulder is feeling much better. I really appreciate that he spontaneously checked in to ask if there was any progress."

-Steven Monsieur

Here is a bit more about Dr. Nathan Dailey:

Dr. Nathan Dailey graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the US Army-Baylor University in 2016. He served on Active Duty in the US Army from August 2013 to September 2020 where he worked with service members in a variety of occupations including helicopter pilots, infantry and special operations soldiers, explosive ordnance disposal technicians, and dog trainers. While on Active Duty he also deployed for 9 months to Iraq and provided front-line care to US and coalition service members serving in harsh environments throughout the operations theater.

While still in the military, he began to pursue advanced clinical education in the sub-specialty of orthopedics (care of bone, muscle, tendon, joint, and peripheral nerve conditions), obtaining his residency-level qualification as an orthopedic specialist (OCS) in July 2020. He has continued to develop his orthopedic skillset with his current pursuit of fellowship training (FAAOMPT) in orthopedic and manual physical therapy, with an anticipated completion in late 2024. Additionally, he has held a CSCS credential from the NSCA for over a decade.

Dr. Dailey has worked carefully throughout his career to develop pain-free strength in the context of high-stress environments, restoring tolerance for high-load short-duration and low-load long-duration professional and sporting activities. He specializes in marrying graded exposure with targeted rehabilitative interventions to reduce pain quickly. This approach is well suited to the powerlifting community, where the advice “don’t train” is often not a viable strategy. He has successfully treated both recreational and internationally competitive powerlifters with customized training and rehabilitative interventions that leverage his highly specialized educational and professional background.
