Background:

Hunter is based in Pennsylvania, USA, and his coaching background has been largely shaped by his experience working with collegiate powerlifters at Penn State University. He has also competed in both the classic and equipped divisions, giving him firsthand insight into their different training, technical, and competitive demands.

Hunter has served as Head Coach of Penn State Club Powerlifting since 2024 and served as
the club’s Vice President from 2025 to 2026. In these roles, he has overseen the training and development of a large university powerlifting team while working with lifters ranging from complete beginners to nationally competitive athletes.

Hunter began working with Reactive Training Systems in 2024 through its university group
programming partnership with Penn State. He now serves as the University Program
Coordinator for RTS, helping university powerlifting programs improve their programming,
coaching education, and overall club development.

Hunter also works individually with powerlifters and has experience preparing and handling athletes at local and national-level competitions. His approach emphasizes collaboration and understanding how each athlete responds to training. His goal is to help lifters better understand themselves as athletes, become more confident in their training and competition decisions, and develop an approach that supports both their performance and long-term growth.
